Way back when, on the pure shores of Pipeline, Hawaii, Nadia met Jodhi. And oh boy, did sparks fly. Fast forward to 2018 and this dynamic duo have made fashion magic with the release of The Upside x Nadia Fairfax capsule collection.

To ring in this momentous occasion The Upside and Nardi threw a little luncheon with a distinctively Positano patina. Gliding into the Watson’s Bay Yacht Club via a gleaming Azzura bedecked with custom branded lifebuoys arrived an intimate assortment of the fashion and media beau monde kitted out in their summer best. Greeted by an antique boat brimming with iced Veuve Cliquot Rosé, a Belvedere bar festooned with citrus and an ocean view, there seemed no better way to celebrate the fruits of this special camaraderie. Fashion entrepreneur Deb Symond, girlboss’ Jasmine Yarborough and Kate Waterhouse were just some of The Upside crew mingling among the lemon trees and sipping on chilled Veuve Cliquot Rosé and Belvedere Mint-Collins. Australian fashion sensei and The Upside CEO David Bush alongside woman of the hour Nadia Fairfax spoke effusively of their delight in the collaboration as guests enjoyed Burrata with Heirloom tomatoes and hand-rolled pea and broadbean tortellini with burnt butter amid a Mediterranean table-scape of crisp white linen, verdant lemon arrangements and bespoke The Daily Edited pouches. Having noshed on a smorgasbord of to die for dessert (bruleed lime tart and pavlova) and with the formalities finito, the likes of super stylist Elliot Garnaut and Saasha Burns of Bear vitamins swapped the umbrella dotted deck for the disco fabulous beats of DJ Jeremy Lloyd. As the sun set on Sydney’s glittering harbour living La Dolce Vita seemed a perfect fit for good-looking activewear motivated by good times and, of course, good company.
